The 2026 Women in Business Inspired Series is a yearlong luncheon experience, powered by the Cache Valley Chamber, designed to spark inspiration and momentum for women professionals. Through engaging presentations from Utah's leading women meaningful peer connections, and curated networking over catered lunches, participants gain fresh perspective, renewed confidence, and motivation to think bigger about what is possible in their careers, leadership, and lives. 

Dr. Chelsea Shields, founder of Brandthropologie, will inspire women to build authentic personal brands and communicate their value with confidence. Drawing on her expertise in anthropology, human behavior, and nonverbal communication, she will share research-backed insights to help women strengthen their influence and advance their careers.

Dr. Chelsea Shields
Biocultural Anthropologist & Strategic Consultant

Dr. Chelsea Shields is a world-renowned biocultural anthropologist and strategist specializing in the "social placebo effect"—the study of how social, cultural, and psychological factors physically alter human biology and behavior. With dual PhDs in Biological and Cultural Anthropology from Boston University, she explores the profound impact of ritual, belief, and non-verbal communication on health and performance. As the Founder and CEO of Brandthropologie, Dr. Shields translates complex human behavioral data into actionable strategies for global organizations, helping them master the "soft skills" of emotional and cultural intelligence that drive long-term success.

A three-time TED speaker and a TED Fellow since 2010, Dr. Shields is also a prominent advocate for social health and gender equality. She gained international recognition for her work addressing institutional inequality within religious structures, famously documented in her TED Talk on internal activism. Her expertise extends into the realm of high-stakes communication, where she trains leaders to harness the 93% of human interaction that occurs through micro-expressions and body language. By bridging the gap between evolutionary biology and modern social systems, Dr. Shields provides a unique lens on how we can intentionally design environments that foster healing, trust, and peak human potential.
