About the presenter
Melanie Jones, CEO at Women's Leadership Institute
Melanie Jones is a strategic and passionate leader, equally skilled at big-picture vision and hands-on tactical execution. Known as a "quick study," she thrives on learning and is often the go-to person for building programs from the ground up or tackling complex challenges others shy away from. Her leadership style is both collaborative and direct—she takes full responsibility for team outcomes while empowering others with the freedom to succeed.
While Melanie excels at managing large teams, her greatest passion lies in helping others grow in their careers. She consistently seeks opportunities to coach, promote, and elevate people. Through working with countless coaching clients, she has learned that insecurity can hold back performance, so she actively works to build confidence in those around her and help them reach their full potential.
A persuasive communicator, Melanie brings deep experience in executive presentations and cross-functional collaboration—across departments, cultures, and countries. She has served as Chief of Staff to executive leaders and is trusted to lead large-scale projects and handle sensitive challenges with discretion. With years of experience at the intersection of creative process and technical solutions, she understands the art and science behind effective digital and marketing messaging. Often, she serves as the bridge that translates between creative and technical teams.
Melanie believes candor and empathy are essential for building trust. She champions diversity of thought as a path to better outcomes and holds that every idea—and every presentation—has the power to change the world. She’s a firm believer that strong culture is built intentionally and collaboratively.
She has coached well-known public speakers from organizations including Ballet West and TEDxSaltLakeCity.
