He was also an executive in FranklinCovey's education practice and one of the architects of The Leader in Me a whole school transformation process that develops 21st Century leadership skills in students in K-12 schools. In 2012\, Boyd left FranklinCovey and founded Leader.org to convene and engage business\, government and community leaders as enabling partners to public schools. In the last four years\, Leader.org has awarded nearly $30 million in privately-funded Leader in Me implementation grants to over 650 public schools in over 40 states with over half a million students. \n\n \n\nBoyd holds a bachelors degree in philosophy and an MBA from Brigham Young University. His commitment to community volunteerism includes service as trustee of Intermountain Healthcare\, member of the National Advisory Board of the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University and member of the advisory board of Utah Valley University's School of the Arts. He and his wife\, Michelle both with ancestral roots in Cache Valley are the parents of three and grandparents of three.
