Linda and her husband Jamie were co-owners of a third generation livestock business and co-founders of Morgan Valley Lamb LLC\, a company dedicated to marketing local agricultural products. \n\n\n\nLinda entered the public sector in 2007 as the Economic Development Director for Millard County\, and now serves as Director of the Office of Rural Development (ORD) and as the Associate Managing Director of Urban & Rural Business Services at the Governor?s Office of Economic Development (GOED).\n\n \n\nLinda has a BA degree in business from Utah State University as well as an MS degree in human resources from the same institution.  She has served in leadership positions on state\, county and regional boards\, and industry associations such as the Utah Alliance for Economic Development\, the Governor's Rural Partnership Board\, and as a member of the Board of Trustees for Utah State University.\n\n \n\nLinda is a strong advocate for all rural counties\, and is working to increase collaboration between urban and rural business communities\, state and federal agencies and industry associations.  \n\n\n\n1:35 PM - 2:00 PM            Networking Break\n\n\n\n2:00 PM - 2:45 PM            Afternoon Keynote Speaker: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGary Wilkinson\, JD - Associate for Snell & Wilmer  Topic: "Failure as a Foundation of Success"\n\n\n\nGary Wilkinson is married to his wife Jessica\, and they have four wonderful children. \n\n \n\nGary played basketball at Utah State University where he was a part of one of the 'winningest' teams in Utah State history\, with a 30-6 record. During his senior season\, Gary was Player of the Year in the Western Athletic Conference (?WAC?)\, First Team All-WAC\, WAC Tournament MVP\, and an All-American. Gary also was recognized as the top Male Student-Athlete and Sociology Student of the Year graduating with a 3.9 GPA. \n\n \n\nFollowing his time at Utah State\, Gary played professional basketball in New Zealand\, South Korea\, Greece\, Estonia\, and Puerto Rico. During his time playing professional basketball\, Gary won 3 professional championships\, was Player of the Year for the Estonian League\, and two-time all-league player in Australia. \n\n \n\nGary recently graduated with his Law Degree from the University of Utah. He is now an attorney at the Regional law firm Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. Next October he will begin a Federal Clerkship with United States Federal Judge Robert Shelby.
