Message from the CEO regarding cancellations and COVID-19

Dear valued Chamber members,

Like most of you, the Chamber has been closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Out of concern for our Chamber members and the community, as well as due to the precautions being taken by USU and the State of Utah regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel all Chamber-related events beginning Monday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

This decision includes the upcoming Leadership Luncheon on March 17th. Because of our partnership with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) housed at USU, we are required to follow USU guidelines for event cancellations and postponement. If you have registered and prepaid for this or any other Chamber event affected by this cancellation, refunds will be begin on Monday, March 16th.

Chamber offices will currently still be open and operating during regular business hours to be of best service to our members as we continue to monitor the situation.

While we recognize that the spread of COVID-19 is an extremely serious situation, this decision has been made out of an abundance of caution and to align with decisions made by state and community leaders out of best interest for the communities where we live and work.

Please stay tuned for any further announcements regarding Chamber activity and any events beyond March 31st. Below are a list of resources regarding the nature of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), how to prevent the spread of the disease, and steps to take if you feel sick.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation and for the work you do to make Cache Valley the wonderful place it is to work and live.

Sincerely,

Jamie Andrus
