DESCRIPTION:CURRENTLY ON VIEW\n\nThomas Campbell: Lint basket supremeo (a multi-medium survey) and Unii ci n yyik (new works) Jan. 25\, 2020 - May 2\, 2020\n\nThomas Campbell communicates his ideas\, thoughts\, and feelings about the fringes of contemporary American culture through eloquent and romantic narratives in a variety of formats\, from sculpture to painting to film. Included in the seminal Beautiful Losers exhibition in 2004\, his work is known nationally and internationally. Campbell completed his new works during an artist residency at Utah State University's Department of Art & Design last fall. \n\n\n\nParticle & Wave: Paperclay Illuminated Jan. 25\, 2020 - May 2\, 2020\n\nIncluding works from forty-five international paperclay artists\, this exhibition challenges conventional ideas about ceramics with a wide breadth of technique and expression. It is the first touring exhibition of its kind and was curated by Peter Held and organized by The International Paper Clay Exhibition Project.\n\n\n\nSky Above\, Earth Below: A History of Western Landscape Photography Sept. 14\, 2019 - July 31\, 2020\n\n"Sky Above\, Earth Below" traces the development of western landscape photography from the late 19th century to the 21st century\, starting with early American photographers like Myra Albert Wiggins\, Edward Curtis\, and Karl Struss and concluding with contemporary photographers like Barry Andersen\, Kimberly Anderson\, Karalee Kuchar\, and Charlotte Trolinger.\n\n\n\nLatinx from the NEHMA Collection Aug. 24\, 2019 - June 30\, 2020 \n\nLatinx works of art represent a growing part of the NEHMA collection and reflect a significant influence in Western American art. New acquisitions are featured as well as a grouping of pa os\, works created on handkerchiefs by artists incarcerated in Texas penitentiaries.
