St. Lawrence String Quartet in concert
In its 30th year as an ensemble, the St. Lawrence String Quartet brims with energy. They collaborate with today’s composers, adding to new quartet literature. Equally dedicated to the music of Haydn, they recorded his six Op. 20 quartets and offered them as a free universal release last year. As soloists and as a chamber ensemble, their concert schedules take them throughout the world. The Quartet takes joy in forging musical connections, directing the Stanford University music department’s Emerging String Quartet program and coordinating with Stanford’s schools of law, medicine, business and education.
