About the presenter

Linda Wardell, General Manager at City Creek Center

Linda Wardell is the General Manager of City Creek Center, the retail cornerstone of one of the largest downtown redevelopment projects in the nation. With over 30 years of experience managing and marketing shopping centers, Wardell oversees the operations of this premier shopping and dining destination in Salt Lake City. She began her career at an Atlanta-based boutique advertising agency, working with major clients like Taubman, the owner of City Creek Center, and later rose through the ranks of Glimcher Realty Trust, where she played a key role in launching and managing high-profile properties, including Polaris Fashion Place in Ohio.

Wardell joined Taubman in 2007 and has since led City Creek Center, which opened in 2012, with her wealth of industry knowledge and leadership. Beyond her professional achievements, Linda is deeply engaged in her community, serving on the boards of the Downtown Alliance, the Women’s Leadership Institute, Zions Bank, and Westminster College's Business Advisory Board. She was named Utah Business Magazine’s “Woman of the Year” in 2023 and received the Salt Lake Chamber's ATHENA Leadership Award in 2019. Currently, Linda serves as the Chair of the Salt Lake Chamber’s Board of Governors, reflecting her influential leadership and commitment to the business community.
